About Ed J. Dickenson
I have been a Radford resident for 16 years. I am married and have a son who attends Belle Heth Elementary School. I am a licensed home inspector and the owner of Solid Spec Home Inspection Services, a small local business. I retired from the Army National Guard after more than 21 years of service. My military assignments included serving in local infantry units, Recruiting and Retention, and Brigade operations. My previous professional experience includes five years as a Deputy Sheriff in Roanoke County and five years as an operations manager for DataSafe, Inc. I studied business management at Virginia Tech before joining the military. I believe strongly in giving back to the community. I volunteer with our local Boy Scouts of America troop and with Habitat for Humanity, where I teach home maintenance and improvement classes to new homeowners. Outside of work and community service, my interests include golfing, metal detecting, PC building, gunsmithing, reading, and studying ancient civilizations.
