About Amanda F. Marko
I am a small business owner with a career at the intersection of economic development and marketing, including experience with the U.S. Senate, the nation's largest chamber of commerce, and global companies. That work has meant one thing: helping communities attract investment, create jobs, and build a stronger future. I serve on the Roanoke Regional Airport Commission and am the immediate past vice chair of the Mill Mountain Advisory Board. I teach financial literacy to Roanoke students through Junior Achievement, mentor under-resourced women seeking a fresh start through House of Bread, and am active in my neighbor association. I am running for City Council because I believe Roanoke deserves big thinking, honest leadership, and a real plan that builds our momentum and moves us forward to our brighter days.
