About Linden A. "Pete" Fravel III
STEPHENS CITY NATIVE - AIR FORCE VETERAN - EXPERIENCED COUNCIL MEMBER I grew up in Stephens City and graduated from James Wood High School and then Virginia Military Institute before serving 20 years in the U.S. Air Force, retiring as a lieutenant colonel. My career included numerous deployments, planning and directing overseas air operations at the operational and strategic level, as well as teaching the next generation of Airmen while continuing to deploy. After retiring, I carried those lessons into federal continuity planning, helping government remain prepared during a crisis. I also brought them home to Stephens City, where my wife, Mona, and I live and where I have served six years on Town Council. Across each role, my approach has remained the same: understand the problem, make a sound decision, and do the work.
