About Christina M. Grace

As a native of Virginia, and a lifelong equine enthusiast, I am extremely proud to call Loudoun County home for the last 15 years. I grew up riding horses, and started my first farm job at the age of 13 years old, in my hometown of Fredericksburg, VA. I never outgrew my love of horses, and animals, and I chased that passion all the way to The National Institutes of Health. There, I worked as a Registered Laboratory Animal Technician with the NIAID division, and their primate colony. That was one of the most enriching experiences of my life, that also enabled me to go to work as a Veterinary Surgical Technician for Walter Reed Army Institutes of Research. In this role, I lead a surgical unit, instructing Officers, soldiers, and new contract employees on how to induce anesthesia, and maintain patients on ventilators, for sometimes days a time, suffering from traumatic injuries that mimic what a soldier would experience in the field, while waiting to be air lifted out. This was also an incredibly rewarding experience. I enjoy being a part of something bigger than myself, and I volunteer locally as often as possible, assisting churches, charities, and anyone who may be in need. I currently live in a beautiful home in the heart of quaint, historic Lovettsville, with my beloved dog, Carl. Carl is a fan favorite in town, and we often joke that he is the "Town Mascot". We can regularly be seen visiting the dog park right outside our back door, or around our cozy little town.
