About Cecilia H. Carpenter
Cecilia Carpenter has called the Staunton area home for over 15 years, and her investment in Staunton City Schools is personal. Her children are in these buildings every day. That proximity has given her a clear-eyed view of what our schools do well and where they have room to grow. You can find Cecilia in the community at cross country meets and band performances cheering on her kids, and supporting health care equity on the Staunton DEI Commission. She understands firsthand the difference a strong, engaged community makes. Cecilia is running because her children have had exceptional experiences in Staunton City Schools, and because she knows that isn't true for every family. It should be.
