About Devon P. Hamilton
I was born and raised in Newport News, Virginia, and this city has always been home to me. I grew up in the Beaconsdale and Riverside neighborhoods, went through Newport News Public Schools, and graduated from Menchville High School. Newport News isn't just a place I want to represent, it's the community that shaped who I am. I'm a proud blue collar worker, and I understand the challenges that working families face because I live them myself. I believe in the value of hard work, treating people with respect. My faith is also an important part of who I am. I attend church regularly, and my faith has taught me the importance of serving others, showing compassion, and doing what is right even when it isn't always the easiest choice. I'm not a career politician. I'm a Newport News resident, a neighbor, a worker, and someone who simply wants to give back to the community that gave me so much.
