About Jevon W. Baskerville
I'm Jevon Baskerville--an educator, organizational development and training professional, mentor, and longtime Norfolk resident. While I'm no longer in a K-12 classroom, education remains at the center of my professional life. I've served as a classroom teacher, academic advisor, corporate trainer, instructional designer, and organizational development professional, and I currently lead Baskerville Strategies, LLC, where I provide training, leadership, and organizational development services. My experience has allowed me to see education from several different seats at the table--from the classroom to the systems that support it. I'm also a proud Old Dominion University graduate and have served in civic, nonprofit, and community leadership roles throughout Hampton Roads. I'm running because I believe Norfolk is at an important crossroads. We don't need to choose between honoring what has worked and embracing what could work better. We need the courage to do both. My approach is simple: listen carefully, examine the data, ask difficult questions, and make decisions that ultimately improve outcomes for students, support educators, and strengthen our community.
